Today’s Reading: Ezekiel 36:26-28
For years now, Christian Bernard performed the first heart transplant. Today, in many hospitals worldwide, transplants, and not only heart, are performed in a routine manner.
Corneas, kidneys, pancreas, lungs, etc. are transplanted. The techniques have advanced, greatly reducing the rate of rejection of transplanted organs. The biggest problem is, therefore, to find donors. Medicine has advanced, but we must remember that technology and resources have their limits.
We should not be too excited. Only trust in God can give us some hope in the tragedies of life. Yes, God; The One who makes the most spectacular heart transplant in history, according to the promise in the Bible: “A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you; and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.” This heart will not ensure only a few years of life, but eternal life. And something else, you need not wait in line for an organ donation, not worry about the price of the surgery: It’s been already paid by Jesus Christ.
