Today’s Reading:1 Corinthians 11:1
It was a working day like any other, Mr. Geraldo Eugenio, tired of a very difficult day, took care of some important clients because he had to take his child to a special school activity. However, the daily business problems were spinning in his head. Payments, income, mortgage, family needs, etc. Don Geraldo Eugenio went to his car. Peter, his son was waiting for him and ran to open the car door and sit by his father. They just look like two people who seemingly knew and loved each other. After a few minutes on the road, Peter broke the silence. Papa, ¿why call me Pedro? Pedro is a very pretty name, said the father. Besides, you were born on June 29, “Day of Saint Pedro.”
There was silence for a while. Finally, Peter said Papa, don’t you mind if I change my name? I want to be called Geraldo Eugenio, just like you!
Live your life in a way that your child will desire to bear your name. And if he already bears your name, feel proud and not ashamed of that name! The apostle Paul once said: “Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.”
