Work, Gift Of God
Today’s Reading: Ecclesiastes 3:12-13 Version CEV

Many people keep saying: “I would like to know who invented work!” Others face the daily struggle as if work was a punishment, a curse.

God invented work, or better yet, work is a gift from God to turn human life into something useful and enjoyable.

Every day, before you go out, give thanks to God.

Do you have a job, an occupation? Then, thank God. Give thanks because you have some kind of ability and are able to use your intelligence and the dexterity of your hands. Today many will not be able to leave their homes; they will not be able to get out of bed. Others will be in a hospital. Worse than that: thousands of inactive people, living a useless life, taking advantage of the society in which they live.

Do you have a job, an occupation? Then you are fortunate. You have the opportunity to be useful, to build something, to improve the world in which we live. Thank God and go everywhere, providing value and excitement to the lives of all those around you.
