Separation Wall 2
Today’s Reading: Colossians 3:12-13 Version CEV
The Berlin Wall was built in August 1961 and tear down in November 1989. This means that there were 28 years of separation. However, it did not separate enemies but brothers. Separating people from the same family, people of the same race.

We raise walls when we stop talking with someone. Friendship ends, respect no longer exists, communication and relationships are broken. This may also occur inside the home. A wall can rise between husband and wife, between parents and children, between brothers and sisters. A wall rises when secrets are kept, when disrespect; or when love, understanding, kindness, turn into purely selfish desires.

Do not increase the height of that wall with your indifference! Do not build insurmountable barriers because of your intolerance! Do not put wire fences with hurtful and damaging words! By contrast, completely destroy what causes separation. Return to the path of dialogue. Restore the lost communication.

It is possible to break down the wall. Not with spikes, hammers or heavy equipment. The wall of enmity, hatred, misunderstanding and division collapses with the instrument of forgiveness!

Follow the advice of God: “Forgive anyone who does you wrong, just as Christ has forgiven you.”

Dialogue And Communion

Dialogue 2
Today’s Reading: Jeremiah 10:20-25
There was never a time when we spoke as much as today and yet had so little dialogue. No matter the means of communication or the meetings around the table, if what prevails is the opinion of some or the defense of certain points of view.

There is corruption everywhere, power and strength are imposed; making it impossible to open and search for the truth. This happens because there is no dialogue without empathy. We need to really take an interest in the lives of others and be willing to serve and love them. God communicates with us but at the same time, through forgiveness, removes any barrier that separates us from him. Thus the dialogue makes forgiveness possible and results in a pleasant communion with the people we love.

Do not forget: our dialogue with God is the way to dialogue with our brothers. Because God forgives us and loves us, we can forgive and love. Only true love can enable us to have a real interest in others.

Today’s Reading: Isaiah 40:31
Trust in God in times of trouble, is like the vision of an eagle. From the heights, she has a vision of the big picture with her powerful eyes. That is why the prophet Isaiah, in times of crisis for the people of God, says: “…but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles.” This is an affirmation of security for those who confronted with problems, difficulties and pain, will not fold, but trust in God.

There is no possibility of knowing the future, or to know what will happen tomorrow. This does not affect our lives when everything goes well, when there is peace within the normal routine of life. But when problems arise and crises afflict our lives, our families; the concern is transformed into anxiety. We do not get to understand the events, the way out that could bring us back the peace and joy. We start to think, moreover, that God forgot about us. You cannot keep thinking about the circumstances of the moment, you should not suffer thinking that the barriers are impassable.

There is suffering and injustice, yet I trusted in God. There is no desperation for those who wait on God and intend to obey no matter the conditions.
