Today’s Reading: Deuteronomy 31:8
If loneliness knocks at your door today, please do not let her enter. Close the door and also the windows, use locks and padlocks you have or might have, because loneliness is not a good companion. Loneliness is gloomy and pessimistic, she is always complaining.

Sometimes I think that loneliness is like a disease, a parasite that comes to weaken us, to extract all our vitality, our enthusiasm, our faith. Loneliness is killing us slowly. If loneliness knocks at your door today, please do not let her enter. Close the door and windows as well. Open your life and your heart to God. Let God fill the void in your heart. If you have God in your heart, loneliness leaves.

God is the source of forgiveness, joy and life; and loneliness abhors these things. If loneliness knocks at your door today, overcome selfishness and leave the situation you are in; Better yet, leave your house and leave loneliness behind. Visit your neighbors, your friends; they need your love, tenderness. Observe the flowers along the path; contemplate heaven; stop and see the children playing; breathe the life that is around you.

If loneliness knocks at your door today, get out of yourself and live! She will not bother you again!
