Wasting Time
Today’s Reading:James 4:17
Have you stopped to think that four people die every ten seconds?

Life is very short, so we need to ask two questions: What are we doing with our lives? And in the short time that remains, are we doing useless things? We have so many things to do, not enough time for us all. However, there are many wasted hours; times when we do nothing constructive and that will weigh on our consciences.

How many hours will we waste on useless activities? We spent many hours looking at mediocre and empty television programs; programs that affect creativity, growth in Bible study, prayer, our interest in charitable projects and reading good books that develop the mind. We waste much time talking about the lives of others, guessing, rather than participate in a constructive conversation!

The Bible says that we must seize opportunities, time is short and ends. We must redeem the time; we must make good use of our lives. The Bible also says, “Therefore, to one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, to him it is sin.”
