Techology & Shortage
Today’s Reading: John 8:12
Today, in most developed centers of population, the average life expectancy of people rises from year to year. Not long ago, the average life of a man was just 50 years. Today, thanks to various factors and resources of medicine, a man can expect to live an average of 65-75 years.

In a way, technological progress, electronics and human resources have become indispensable tools for prolonging life. But they come at a time when any technological device gets back to a disappointed life, near death patient. You cannot do much more for a patient who is in a vegetative state, that is, which remains alive thanks to the aid of sophisticated machines and equipment.

It is then that human resources are exhausted, and we can only rely on our faith. The faith that moves mountains; faith in the person who understands the human being: God! God, Creator of all of us and giver of life in Christ Jesus.

Do not wait until everything fails and you have no strength to turn to Him. Look to Jesus now!

Discouraged
Today’s Reading: Philippians 4:13 ESV
An old story is being told about the devil’s decision to sell all of his tools. Among them were: hatred, malice, and many other instruments used to separate people from God. In a corner there was a section with a seemingly harmless instrument called “Discouragement”.

They asked the devil: Why is this instrument so expensive? And the devil said: “well, because this is the easiest instrument to use, as nobody imagines it’s mine” With this instrument, I can easily break the door of the heart. Discouragement leads people to quit and stop using love, justice, peace and all the detestable things of the Kingdom of God.”

That story illustrates a little-known truth: no battle is won with discouragement. Discouragement is synonymous with failure. Discouragement destroys our day, our will, and kills our hope and vitality.

The good news, however, is this: we were empowered to overcome discouragement. The Bible teaches us that we can face all situations with the power that Christ gives us.

Do not let discouragement control your life. On the contrary, have faith and feed your enthusiasm with the power of Christ. Prepare to fight, now!

Emotional Religiosity

Believe And Feel
We are in the era of sentimental and emotional religiosity. Although we must also recognize that there is formal and mechanical lifeless religiosity, devoid of human warmth and positive results. But we should not confuse the empty and formal religion with emotional feelings. Strong emotions such as tears, sighs, enthusiasm, laughter and applause are not proof that someone is sincere. God knows and looks inside our hearts.

We are always running the risk of placing feelings above faith. The risk of condemning people who do not go through the same religious experiences we’ve been through.

It is good to remember: belief and feeling are not antagonistic. However, we need to be aware that a person can feel something without having the true faith in God.

Faith does not depend on feelings, but feelings must depend and be grounded in faith.

If you approach God with faith, seek to live by faith, not by feelings. This will give security because even if you do not feel anything, God will be there, directing his steps, guaranteeing eternal life.

Secret Vows
Today’s Reading:Malachi 2:14–15;Matthew 19:6
Who is married knows that the phrase “Happily ever after” is not fully reflected in reality. The problems, crises always arise in the life of the spouses. And for some the dream remains just like a nice relationship, not formal, working with joy and consolation.

There are difficult days in marriage. No one can deny it. There are moments full of conflicts and problems. Times when, basically, we thought we’d finish it all. At such times, strong emotions, feelings of anguish and rage dominate. But remember that there is something in your life much bigger than the feelings and deeper than sadness. They are the sacred vows of marriage. Commitments that you took before witnesses and before God. And God himself will help fulfill his word: “He promises to love, be faithful in all, in health or in pain, in joy or sorrow, till death do us part.”

These commitments need to be affirmed, from time to time, through words and actions. This will be a firm foundation for the solution of problems and to regain joy, peace and satisfaction of husband and wife.

Employee Employer relations, Exploitation of the labor, faithful servants, unfair remuneration

Reading – Ephesians 6:5-9
At work, there will always be some tension between the employee and the employer. The biblical teaching on work is, in a way, simple. First, it presents a new dimension to the Christian employee. He does not accept the employer as if it was the supreme authority, but receives God’s guidance for his conduct. His work is a way to serve Jesus, to testify on his behalf. So he gives the best of himself. Second, it presents a new dimension for the employer as well. The employer who knows Christ has in his conscience that he is, above all, a servant of God. He deals with employees in the same way that the Lord deals with him. Love guides his administration. Exploitation of the labor of others, unfair remuneration and despotism are not part of its administration. Blessed are those who “freed from sin and enslaved to God, yet have their fruit unto holiness, and at the end eternal life.” (Romans 6:22) God requires of us, workers and employers, to be faithful servants of one another.
