Tolerance of Jesus Final
Today’s Reading: Colossians 3:12 Version ESV

If you are accustomed to say, “I cannot stand that person!” maybe you are suffering from an intolerance disorder. Be careful, because the feeling of intolerance is the result of a lack of love and ability to forgive.

When we begin to judge others, we risk losing the sense of justice, peace and joy. Assuming false attitudes of love and forgiveness, does not solve the problem. To disguise our tendency for intrigues and confusions will only sprout roots of bitterness and develop trees of dullness and weariness.

Every day we find ourselves in a number of situations that require patience and understanding. As Christians, our attitudes should transpire kindness, humility, patience and gentleness.

Every day we must face evil with good. However, doing good, when we are paid with evil, always brings about criticism and humiliation in a society where profits and compensations are thought of as the norm.

It is good to remember that the only profit or advantage that we should seek is a peaceful heart, a clear conscience, the joy of doing the will of God. With Jesus we learn the way of tolerance and transform the difficulties and aggression of life into opportunities to live, to forgive and to love our fellow man.

Anger-1
Today’s Reading: Ephesians 4:26-27
American statesman Thomas Jefferson said: “When you are mad, count to ten.

If you are mad and very angry count to one hundred. Good advice! The unbridled anger can kill. I read about the case of a couple who killed his young son because he cried when they wanted to listen to music.

The Bible mentions two types of anger: one that is appropriate and one that is not. The appropriate should be directed against sin, as in the time when Jesus expelled the merchants from the temple. The feeling of anger that is not appropriate is the one we feel at small or minor provocations. Paul recommends: “Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry.” (Ephesians 4:26)

Anger should not endure. Spouses should not sleep back to back because of a discussion that took place during the day. Children should also learn to make peace.

Paul adds, “And do not give the devil a foothold.” (Ephesians 4:27) Anger gives the devil the best opportunity to enter our lives; it makes us lose control, he is always alert waiting for any opportunity to make us fall.

Jesus wants to reproduce his character in us, his love, his gentleness, his joy and self-control. We need to ask His Spirit to control us and teach us to forgive.

The Forgiveness Of God
Today’s Reading: Psalm 86:15
Today, with invisible chemicals we can produce a paper that can be erased without leaving any trace of ink. This is the grace of God in the hearts of the repentant. They receive cleansing through the forgiveness chemistry that leaves no trace. After forgiveness, you need not remain saddened by sin. Some people cannot accept forgiveness, they cannot forgive themselves, they cannot accept the forgiveness of others and do not believe in the simple promise of forgiveness. Guilt makes life become bitter, somewhat difficult, sad and senseless. God does not want this life for His children. No one has to bear the huge burden of guilt.

God forgives because He is merciful and good. We are not forgiven because we deserve forgiveness, or because we promise to be good in the future, or because God does not take seriously our sin. We receive forgiveness because Christ died on the cross and rose again for our justification.

Pardon is forgiveness! No need to ask the reasons why God forgives us. We need to simply accept forgiveness and thus live a free and useful life.
