Free Yourself Final Final
Today’s Reading: John 8:31-34 Version CEV
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+8%3A31-34&version=CEV

Do not stay depressed, free yourself! Depression is the cause of your melancholy and sadness. Depression turns you into a slave. Free yourself! There is no reason to stay angry and resentful. There is no reason for you to continue feeling sorry for yourself.

The failures to solve problems, those feelings of guilt, all of these things have led you to hopelessness. Today there is much talk about the liberation of women, sexual liberation, and economic liberation. However, these are not only liberations but debauchery and they become dangerous when freedom is confused with irresponsibility.

Searching for sexual satisfaction without serious commitment is debauchery. To have complete freedom in all areas of our lives we need to start from an inner freedom, real freedom from selfishness, evil, hatred, and sin. We can only achieve this freedom through Jesus Christ. He gives us the diagnosis and the remedy.

He who sins is a slave of sin. On the other hand, those who know Christ and remain in his Word, know the truth and the truth will set them free.

Find freedom in Jesus! Free yourself!

Welcome Final
Today’s Reading: Galatians 3:25-29 Version CEV
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Galatians+3%3A25-29&version=CEV

We all have a natural tendency to reject those who are not like us. We find it easier to reject than to accept those who are physically, culturally, mentally or socially different.

Among the first Christians at Rome there were many differences. They were Jews, Greeks, slaves and free. There was much discrepancy between their customs and their way of thinking. To keep them together, the apostle Paul found a simple solution: He encouraged and urged all of them, with mutual respect

The word “accept” means “consent to receive”. Imagine yourself in the middle of a large crowd. You feel insecure, afraid. Suddenly someone calls you by name, runs to you and gives you a hug. It is precisely what Paul meant by “accepting”.

We all need to feel that acceptance; if not, we are lost. This is essential for all; for husbands and wives; for children, at home and at school. Children, in fact, do everything possible to feel part of a group. It’s terrible to be left aside, totally ignored!

Today we pray to God this way: “O Lord, open our hearts to welcome our brothers and sisters who have been ignored and that need so much our acceptance. Amen”.

Death Penalty 1
Today’s Reading: Romans 6:22-23 Version NIV
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans+6%3A22-23&version=NIV

The criminal was tried and sentenced to death. By a squad?  By the electric chair? By lethal injection? No matter the method, the goal is the same: Death!

The history of mankind is the history of death, the death of thousands and millions of men and women, old, young and children.

In newspapers, radio, television, or the internet, the news are always hot when it relates to fatalities.

How many will die this year in wars, revolutions, terrorism, bombings, and assaults?

You and I are doomed! Condemned to die! Today, tomorrow or within a few years, but it will happen because there is condemnation “The wages of sin is death,” says the Bible.

In this confusion of bodies and in the unbearable stench of death, there is a ray of hope. The smell of life emerges and spreads: Jesus, the Son of God, agreed to be sentenced to die in our place, but transformed his death into life, life for himself and for all who are condemned to die.

Jesus is God’s forgiveness to free us of the death penalty!
