Prayer of The Lord English FinalToday’s Reading: Psalm 37:4 Version NIV
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm+37%3A4&version=NIV

Every Christian needs to stay in touch with God. Through prayer this contact is made every time we need to. In those instants we dedicate to prayer, when we are in direct communication with God, we must not allow any distraction interrupt our communication with our Lord.

The time of prayer is an encounter with peace, with the sweetness, with rest, with the lightness of spirit, with silence.

It is at the time of the prayer that God speaks to our spirit. We must open our hearts before God. Tell Him all our hopes and visions, joys and dreams. Through prayer we invite God to participate in the intimacy of our lives even though we know that He knows us better than ourselves. The results will become apparent in our way of thinking, acting and speaking. Our spiritual and material victories grow in direct proportion to our communication with God.

In his daily devotional book, British Pastor and author Charles Haddon Spurgeon, known as The Prince of Preachers we read: “The delight in God has a transforming power, and raises man above the weak desires of his imperfect nature. Delight in the Lord is not only sweet in itself, but sweetens the whole soul, until the longings of the heart become such that the Lord promises safe completion. Is it not great that the delight that shapes our desires will become like God’s wishes?”

In Psalm 37:4 King David exhorts us saying “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.”

Sincerity Melts
Today’s Reading: Psalm 19:12
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm+19%3A12&version=GNT

Being sincere is not easy. Being sincere requires discipline, honesty in the correct judgment of all things. Sincerity begins in the relationship we have with ourselves, we cannot exaggerate when we judge the best or the worst that constitutes our personality.

We need to be honest with the people around us; we cannot say one thing in front of a person, and behind quite another.

As far as God is concerned, sincerity must be in the way we worship and the prayer we address to Him.

To live as Christians, we can never get rid of sincerity. Sincerity can melt the hardest heart.

Our relationship with God can be a mixture of holiness and hypocrisy. It is necessary to review our faith daily, because there may be a hidden facet of our feelings. The best therapy to cure us of insincerity is to ask God: Lord, may there be in me a sincere willingness towards you and my neighbor. As for my mistakes, “Deliver me from hidden faults.”

The Spring of Jesus
Today’s Reading: John 7:37-39 Version CEV
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+7%3A37-39&version=CEV

Imagine a natural fountain, where crystal waters flow and roll downhill with thunder and beauty. Many, when they see a fountain like this, stop to appreciate its beauty and test its waters.

When our thirst is spiritual, the only source able to satisfy us is Jesus. Jesus is the source of living waters. If we drink from that source, from within us will flow rivers of living water.

The experience of life is always difficult, full of problems, and dry roads. Our heart cries out for peace, security, food and life. And those things, only Jesus can give to us.

Today life can be very different for you. To approach Jesus, the fountain of living waters, have faith. Bow your head and let the Spirit of God take possession of your heart, your body, and your mind.

Today ask God, with a sincere heart, for the water of life, and leave behind the desert of selfishness, evil, anger; and live!

Come to live a life as useful and attractive as a crystal water fountain! Become, in this world, an oasis of peace, joy and life!

Greatest Treasure
Today’s Reading Colossians 2:2-3
All of us are full of good wishes and desires. Some of these desires are necessities and others are just fads.

We have the desire to have many possessions, houses, cars, property, money and even people.

There is, however, something good, a treasure that not everyone can see; not all imagine exists or consider its value. When someone, by the roads and ways of life, finds this treasure and possess it, has no need to own anything else. And if someone has the misfortune of not finding it, even if he has all worlds’ goods, he has nothing.

Jesus is the greatest treasure that any mortal can have. With Jesus, life is everything, without Jesus life is nothing.

Jesus! We want to help you find him and know him. Not that He is distant or lost; but very close to you. We’ll help you find him in your own life and your own heart so that you can say: I have Jesus, the greatest treasure!
