The Search
Today’s Reading: 1 Peter 3:10-12 Version KJV
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+Peter+3%3A10-12&version=KJV

We all know what is to appreciate life and to live better days. So often we look for different things to fill our lives, things that give us satisfaction and pleasure.

In any major city in the world, you find drugs, crime, prostitution and almost all kinds of evil. If you want to, you will find the most dreadful people in the world.

However, you can go to the same places and find the most loving, attentive, polite and hospitable people on earth. You will always find what you want to find!

You can select the best man or best woman, the best father or the best mother, son or daughter, the best executive or operator, and find defects and faults in all of them. You can select simple and humble people, observe them carefully and found many positive features. It all depends on what you are looking for.

For sure you will always find what you are looking for! What are you looking for? A Bible writer said the following words: “For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.”

Everyone who seeks finds, seek the Lord Jesus Christ and you will find him. Look for him today!

Temptation
Today’s Reading: 1 Corinthians 10:13 Version NIV
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+Corinthians+10%3A13&version=NIV

Temptation is a reality in the lives of Christians. You cannot help but be tempted, but the responsibility of falling into temptation is all yours.

We need to be aware of some truths about temptation: First, no temptation comes upon us without the knowledge and permission of God; second, there is no power in the universe greater than the eternal God; and finally, the temptation can sometimes have positive results. The provocation tests our faith and show, through it, our dependence on God.

Once, Jesus was led into the wilderness to be tempted, but his attitude there, being tempted, showed his intimate relationship with God.

According to the Bible, we will never be tempted beyond our strength. God knows everything and has control over everything that happens to us; we must turn to Him in times of temptation. God will give us strength to resist temptations.

If we overcome the obstacles, we grow in our faith, in our maturity and our relationship with God.

A NEw Attitude - C

Today’s Reading: Acts 16:22-34 Version CEV
Bible Reading
How do you feel about your life? Miserable? Sad? Abandoned? Sorry about yourself?

Some old verses declare: “Two men looked through prison bars: One saw mud, the other saw stars.”

Our attitude in relation to our lives is very important. When the attitude is negative, no matter where you live, the problems seem to have no solution. When the attitude is positive, the place where we live is satisfying and the problems are only challenges to be overcome.

Paul and Silas were unjustly imprisoned in the city of Philippi. After being beaten, they were jailed. Both had enough reasons to complain and even to curse their luck; but that would be like looking down, that is, to the mud.

Paul and Silas in his cell in the middle of the night began to pray and sing aloud. The other prisoners were listening. They preferred to look up at the stars, or better yet, to God.

Change your attitude and things will change around you. Change is always difficult, but it is possible, when we accept the love and forgiveness of God.
