Free Yourself Final Final
Today’s Reading: John 8:31-34 Version CEV
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+8%3A31-34&version=CEV

Do not stay depressed, free yourself! Depression is the cause of your melancholy and sadness. Depression turns you into a slave. Free yourself! There is no reason to stay angry and resentful. There is no reason for you to continue feeling sorry for yourself.

The failures to solve problems, those feelings of guilt, all of these things have led you to hopelessness. Today there is much talk about the liberation of women, sexual liberation, and economic liberation. However, these are not only liberations but debauchery and they become dangerous when freedom is confused with irresponsibility.

Searching for sexual satisfaction without serious commitment is debauchery. To have complete freedom in all areas of our lives we need to start from an inner freedom, real freedom from selfishness, evil, hatred, and sin. We can only achieve this freedom through Jesus Christ. He gives us the diagnosis and the remedy.

He who sins is a slave of sin. On the other hand, those who know Christ and remain in his Word, know the truth and the truth will set them free.

Find freedom in Jesus! Free yourself!

concerned
Today’s Reading: Philippians 4:6-7
In the times we live in, no one is free from concerns. Small or large, every person has their own. There are people who, because of these concerns have horrible headaches and spend days and nights without sleep. They spend time exaggerating the value of things that are not always as large or as important as they think.

Knowing how to live in peace is an art. And to be clear and clear-headed, despite the concerns, is a gift. A gift from God.

The God who created us knows all our problems and weaknesses. Then there is nothing more fair than to ask Him to help us carry the heavy burden of our concerns and worry. It is God himself who recommended us this, when he says in the Bible. “do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”

After all, who better than God to relieve our hearts when we are overwhelmed by life’s anxieties?

Let us trust Him, and He will take care and erase our concerns.

Secret Vows
Today’s Reading:Malachi 2:14–15;Matthew 19:6
Who is married knows that the phrase “Happily ever after” is not fully reflected in reality. The problems, crises always arise in the life of the spouses. And for some the dream remains just like a nice relationship, not formal, working with joy and consolation.

There are difficult days in marriage. No one can deny it. There are moments full of conflicts and problems. Times when, basically, we thought we’d finish it all. At such times, strong emotions, feelings of anguish and rage dominate. But remember that there is something in your life much bigger than the feelings and deeper than sadness. They are the sacred vows of marriage. Commitments that you took before witnesses and before God. And God himself will help fulfill his word: “He promises to love, be faithful in all, in health or in pain, in joy or sorrow, till death do us part.”

These commitments need to be affirmed, from time to time, through words and actions. This will be a firm foundation for the solution of problems and to regain joy, peace and satisfaction of husband and wife.

Today’s Reading: Isaiah 40:31
Trust in God in times of trouble, is like the vision of an eagle. From the heights, she has a vision of the big picture with her powerful eyes. That is why the prophet Isaiah, in times of crisis for the people of God, says: “…but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles.” This is an affirmation of security for those who confronted with problems, difficulties and pain, will not fold, but trust in God.

There is no possibility of knowing the future, or to know what will happen tomorrow. This does not affect our lives when everything goes well, when there is peace within the normal routine of life. But when problems arise and crises afflict our lives, our families; the concern is transformed into anxiety. We do not get to understand the events, the way out that could bring us back the peace and joy. We start to think, moreover, that God forgot about us. You cannot keep thinking about the circumstances of the moment, you should not suffer thinking that the barriers are impassable.

There is suffering and injustice, yet I trusted in God. There is no desperation for those who wait on God and intend to obey no matter the conditions.
