Prayer of The Lord English FinalToday’s Reading: Psalm 37:4 Version NIV
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm+37%3A4&version=NIV

Every Christian needs to stay in touch with God. Through prayer this contact is made every time we need to. In those instants we dedicate to prayer, when we are in direct communication with God, we must not allow any distraction interrupt our communication with our Lord.

The time of prayer is an encounter with peace, with the sweetness, with rest, with the lightness of spirit, with silence.

It is at the time of the prayer that God speaks to our spirit. We must open our hearts before God. Tell Him all our hopes and visions, joys and dreams. Through prayer we invite God to participate in the intimacy of our lives even though we know that He knows us better than ourselves. The results will become apparent in our way of thinking, acting and speaking. Our spiritual and material victories grow in direct proportion to our communication with God.

In his daily devotional book, British Pastor and author Charles Haddon Spurgeon, known as The Prince of Preachers we read: “The delight in God has a transforming power, and raises man above the weak desires of his imperfect nature. Delight in the Lord is not only sweet in itself, but sweetens the whole soul, until the longings of the heart become such that the Lord promises safe completion. Is it not great that the delight that shapes our desires will become like God’s wishes?”

In Psalm 37:4 King David exhorts us saying “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.”

Communion With The Lord 2
Today’s Reading: Revelation 3:20
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelation+3%3A20&version=RSV

It was early in the morning, just after sunrise when Jesus got up and went to a secluded place to pray.

Jesus, being one with the Father, with perfect knowledge of the complexities of this world, with a mission to accomplish; made constant use of prayer to be always in communion with God, the Father.

The same should happen with us!

You are in communion with God when you keep open, through prayer, a channel of communication with him; when you live according to his principles and act according to his will.

Communion is a means of communication between our earthly existence and eternal life. Communion is the seamless integration between God the Father and his children.

However, it is necessary that each communion be spontaneous, because Jesus does not force anyone to serve; He simply invites you: “Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any one hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.”

This is a gracious invitation that Jesus makes to you, to address important issues; as, for example, your relationship with God.

Do Not Judge
Do Not Judge!
Today’s Reading: Luke 6:37-38, 41-42 Version CEV
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke+6%3A37-38%3B+41-42&version=CEV

The truth is that we cannot live without judging or making judgements. We make them constantly; and sometimes it is necessary to judge: When certain atrocities are committed, prosecution should be quick and firm. We cannot remain silent. But in certain situations, the wise keep silent.

Jesus says: “Do not judge, or you too will be judged” (Matthew 7: 1). And Paul warns us that to judge the brother in certain circumstances may be inappropriate and wrong. . (Romans 14)

A good example of improper judgment is the church in the time of the Apostle Paul, who was beginning to have division. Christians argued among themselves because some said it was forbidden to eat certain foods. Some were weak in the faith, other stronger. Some were demanding and were proud of it. Some arrogant people placed themselves above others, and they thought they could understand the reasons and the sins of their brothers. They forgot, therefore, that God is the Supreme Judge and that we must humble in his presence.

Prayerfully, we must distinguish between correct judgment and arrogant condemnation. We must examine our reasons and stop blaming others. God, who knows our hearts and minds, will help us remember this and to become humble servants of Christ.

Talking With God

Prayer And Comunication
Today’s Reading:Psalm 17:6, Psalm 77:1, Isaiah 38:5 Version NIV
When problems arise or when we get into a difficult situation, we resort to prayer. We ask God to save us and in return we promise something if He resolves our difficulties.

However, the father who loves his son will not please him all the time. If the father is wise, he will not do for the child what the child can do on his own. God loves us and is wise. He does not give us all that we ask, nor relieves our headaches if we can just take an aspirin. If the child gets close to the father just to ask, it only shows immaturity. However, the child shows maturity when he sits next to his father for a small conversation, without asking for anything.

Our prayers to God should be more than just requests. Prayer is the way of communication; it is the medium in which you become aware of the reality of God’s presence around you and your life.

If you want to communicate with God today, enter into your bedroom, close the door and, with humility in your soul, talk with Him. Talk to Him as if you were speaking to a friend, talk with your heart. When nobody has time to listen, God listens to you; God understands and renews your joy and passion for life.

blessings, evening, God, help, need, prayer, thanks

Thank you Lord for your presence in the choices and the struggles of this day, for allowing me to stumble into you this evening. Thank you for the gentleness, with which you surround me in this evening’s silence. May it penetrate and settle my thoughts and feelings. I offer you this day gone by, with all its challenges, opportunities, setbacks and my pessimism. May I accept both the success and failure I have met today. Help me to remember not to break the bruised reeds of the day, but deal gently with all that has happened.

Lord, I pray for those who are in need of the basic things in life. — Help me to respond practically and raise awareness of their need. Lord, I pray for all who have touched my life in confusion or pain today specially those with pessimistic ideas. — May I be honest and gentle with what is damaged in others.

Lord, help me to trust your quiet and gentle presence. May I live in the rhythm of your goodness tomorrow, and find you in the quiet and simple pauses in my busy day. May I put others in touch with your presence through my gentleness and friendliness to all. May I be able to help those pessimist souls showing them that future really exist and that in the future there is hope.

A Blessing for family and friends, be with them in this evening — with your gentleness. As they see what they have achieved — bring them your humility. As they look towards a new day — bring them your optimism, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray. Amen.

God In Smallest Details

Smallest
Today’s Reading: Hebrews 1:1-3
Just watch the stars on the sky and you will be amazed by the grandeur of the universe. Thinking about the stars, planets and galaxies, something so huge, it is beyond our comprehension.

Also think of another world: the world of cells and atoms, particles and creatures infinitely small.

For God, who created all this, there is no distinction between large and small things, including important facts and those who apparently have no significance. For him everything is important, because big things are made up of small: as the vast sea, which is made by water droplets and the vast desert, by tiny grains of sand.

God is concerned with eternity and the minutes of your life. God is concerned with the great events of your life, as well as the problems and difficulties of every day; be it a disease, a purchase you will make, a trip or an account that you have to pay.

You do not bother God with your small problems, for He is the great God who cares about the smallest detail. Talk to him today, he is interested!

prayer, prayers

As Sunday slips away, my mind turns towards a new week, where God meets me. Be with me Lord, this evening, prepare me to recognize your presence, in the normal and novel events of a new week.

Heavenly Father God, stay with me as I begin a new, untouched week. As I unwrap the gift of each day, help me to trust you in all that I find, and give thanks for the privilege of living in your presence. I ask this through Christ, the Lord of all time, and my companion on each day’s journey. A Blessing for Family and Friends Bless them with rest to renew them in strength and faith. Guide them in the week that lies before them. Draw them close to yourself each day. Listen to our prayer tonight in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Monday Morning Prayer

beginning of the week, morning prayer, prayer

Heavenly Father God, yesterday, the first day of the week, we started with so many blessings that we cannot count. From the light of the sun who gives us heat and brightness, the wind that blows around the earth, air that we breathe, the water tides controlled by the moon, and many others that we don’t even know.

The psalmist says, “Heed the sound of my cry for help, my King and my God, for to You I pray. In the morning, O LORD, You will hear my voice; in the morning I will order my prayer to You and eagerly watch. For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness; No evil dwells with You.”

As the psalmist expresses his joy saying: “This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it” we also repeat the words with the same joy and faith.

Our heart may feel weary from the testing and trials that will come during this week. It’s easy for us to fall into a pity party. Yet we know that You are always working on our behalf and we must gird ourselves up to trust in You regardless of our circumstances. Proverbs 3:5 tells us “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding”

Sometimes we feel weak and without the strength to keep pushing ourselves. We need to rely on Your great power and ability to get us going. We pray to receive Your strength to make it through this week.

As Psalm 28:7 says, “The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts.”

We know that You will bless us and keep us; that Your face will shine upon us and be gracious to us. We would like to have the assurance that You are going to keep our loved ones safe during all of the days of this week. We pray that You build our confidence in You as You extend Your protection and care to us.

We will be tempted with many things; however, it’s our desire to overcome temptation. You know exactly what our struggles will be so we ask You Lord, to provide us the opportunity to step out of them. Help us to listen carefully to the promptings of Your Holy Spirit for clarity and direction.

You have said that “No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it” 1 Corinthians 10:13

Bless us now as we start this new day with faith and confidence because you are with us all of the days of our lives. In Jesus our Lord we pray. Amen.
